Been going to Fairbanks vets for almost 50 years — all excellent veterinarians. Aurora, Mt McKinley, Ballaine, Golden Heart — all are empathetic, patient, and honest. But have to say, my last visit with Dr. Child’s at Aurora was a top 5 experience. Knowledgeable. Personable. Real-world. Took Banjo in for a recent chronic respiratory problem and her analysis, diagnosis, and recommended treatment were SPOT ON. No more coughing and hacking, doc! We both thank you!!

We have a Frenchie who is sadly getting older and has had chronic ear infections and allergies all his life. (Multiple emergency trips back and forth from Delta.) Dr. Preston has been so great, her knowledge and persistence are 100% appreciated. She AND the staff at Aurora have genuine compassion and are truly vested in their patients. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dr. Childs is the best vet I have ever worked with in the 44 years of owning pets. Our Shepherd Dexter has some fear/anxiety issues, but at no point has he ever not just wanted to be near her. She goes out of her way to make sure we have all the answers to all the questions and concerns, as well as checking in when needed. We as a family are truly lucky to have her taking care of our two boys! P.S. Loki loves her too, lol!

My dogs are family! They have been treated like family at Aurora for both routine and surgical procedures, in addition to rehabilitation therapy.
